Great Post! I am currently in the early stages of consulting with a client that is eager to use SM as a marketing and sales channel. I keep insisting that the client needs to establish itself as an expert and respond to any tweets (direct or indirect) with a timely and appropriate response. This means not simply directing them back to view their online portal, as they have been doing in the past (whether their sites answers the question/problem or not).

Something that needs to be addressed for anyone seeking to participate in social media.

Before I came on board I gave them the same ultimatum - Either your commit or I'm not coming on board. It was refreshing to say the least!
