The suit alleges that San Francisco based, Yelp, is an extortion scheme and that when a company is listed on their site for a negative comment, employees offer “advertising contracts” to remove the listing. Yelp Inc., was filed on February 23, 2010, and is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
